I started my career and was a partner at King & Spalding LLP, representing corporations and executives in a diverse range of matters, from white-collar criminal defense to internal investigations to complex civil litigation.

I handled and worked on criminal cases, federal and state criminal and regulatory investigations, False Claims Act investigations and litigation, and complex civil litigation in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, securities law, environmental, Civil RICO, federal grants, and various regulatory matters.

Prosecuting complex cases as an Assistant U.S. Attorney

For more than a decade, I served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, where I was also Deputy Chief of the Economic Crimes Section and Chief of the Cyber Crimes & Intellectual Property Section.

As AUSA, I tried multiple fraud cases as lead and solo counsel to jury verdict, and handled all aspects of federal criminal investigations and cases involving complex matters such as wire and mail fraud, money laundering, the False Claims Act, insider trading, healthcare, cybersecurity, and other areas of federal law.

Award-winning experience handling high-stakes matters

After serving as AUSA, I returned to private practice as a partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, LLP, where I focused on white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations, and government enforcement actions.

Among other matters, I defended a healthcare executive against federal criminal kickback charges, a Fortune 500 executive in an SEC securities fraud investigation, and was part of the Monitor’s team in the Volkswagen emissions case.
